There is always safety in truth. It could be the truth about a situation, about a person or about self. This truth leads us to integrity and having a oneness with God (1992, Cloud and Townsend, Boundaries). As I reflect on boundaries, I become aware of my personal struggle of setting appropriate boundaries in my life. I am aware that many of the lack of boundaries are the result of situations, trauma, and environmental factors in which I had no control.
Many who suffer with boundary issues blame others themselves and often feel abandoned and helpless. There is lots of hope! It begins with acknowledging there is a need for help and change and being willing to change. There is a lack of knowledge for many on this subject. We can put some distance form people who constantly hurt and do not honor boundaries. We can get around other people who are willing to share and of what healthy boundaries look like.

This day is the best day … I chose to enjoy and bless my family, friends, and acquaintances. I know everyone a connect with will not have the same mindset that I have I will allow them to be themselves and continue to smile and find joy in the small and big things in life. I will not give into self-pity, blaming others or fault-finding. I chose to think positive thoughts and share positive comments to build instead of tear down others.
